Complaint evidence film · 02:02 · 15 chapters

This is not a mattress ad.
This is the complaint film.

The cut puts the photographed surface, outdoor exposure, near-90° cargo-strap fold, badge close-up, rubbish left behind, blocked contact and the disagreeing labels on one chain. Sources are this file's stills, the original phone clip, and two user-supplied frames. Each chapter splits what the image shows from what Serta still has to answer in writing.

Source labels: complainant stills / original phone video / user-supplied frames. Generated satire stills are not treated as physical exhibits. Chapter buttons seek the cut. Turn English or Chinese captions on.
Shot-by-shot record

Fifteen chapters, three questions each

Making the pictures uglier is not a substitute for evidence. The text below only writes what the still shows, then lists what Serta must explain. That is why the film can be shown to a regulator, a reporter or a lawyer without pretending a photograph is a verdict.

00:00–00:05

Title card: this is not an advertisement

What the image shows

The user-supplied plate frame appears first. The caption card is not itself a photograph of the mattress.

The complaint question

The goods were sold at about US$23,000 as an American brand, a New Zealand import and premium quality. The film has to separate marketing language from the file.

What Serta must answer

Confirm the sale name, the price basis, and that each still that follows may be checked against that model's factory standard.

00:05–00:13

The quilt as photographed

What the image shows

Close stills of the quilt show mottled texture and dense speckle. The surface does not look clean.

The complaint question

The “premium quality” claim has to be checked against the exact model and factory QC. A photograph is not a finding of internal damage.

What Serta must answer

Name the model and the factory standard. Say whether this photographed surface matches the QC record at delivery.

00:13–00:21

Left outdoors about 24 hours

What the image shows

The photograph shows the mattress propped outdoors against a wall / beside bushes. The complainant states about 24 hours of weather exposure.

The complaint question

Duration and weather effect still need both sides' records and an in-person inspection. One still is not a final damage finding.

What Serta must answer

State the quality test after outdoor exposure, with an inspection date and the named author of the report.

00:21–00:29

Folded with an orange cargo strap

What the image shows

The photograph records a cargo strap being used to bend the mattress during the move.

The complaint question

Staff said it would not be damaged. Serta China's own warranty treats improper moving and folding as a risk. The still records the act; it does not replace a factory inspection of the core.

What Serta must answer

Inspect in person. Write how the strap-fold relates to the springs / internal structure.

00:29–00:37

Second angle: nearly 90 degrees

What the image shows

A second still shows the mattress bent close to a right angle. The ratchet buckle is visible.

The complaint question

The complainant states a 70-year-old family member was made to help lift. Internal damage is a manufacturer question, not a verbal “it's fine”.

What Serta must answer

Give an inspection date, a written opinion, and the named author of that report.

00:37–00:49

Original clip IMG_2510.MOV

What the image shows

The original phone clip records the AvantGarde metal plate and the badge-to-fabric seam. Reflective marks / speckle are visible.

The complaint question

The clip does not by itself prove a cause. A ~US$23,000 delivery should still have a finish standard that can be checked.

What Serta must answer

State the factory acceptance standard for the badge and fabric, and keep the matching QC record.

00:49–00:54

User-supplied strap frame

What the image shows

The user-supplied strap frame is inserted as a chapter card, next to original Exhibits 03 and 04.

The complaint question

The caption card is not a second original of the move. The move stills remain 03, 04 and 20.

What Serta must answer

Put the chapter card and the original stills in the inspection file. Do not answer only “we watched the video”.

00:54–01:02

Packaging dumped on the bed

What the image shows

The still shows the woven bag / packaging left on the bed after the drop.

The complaint question

Serta US still writes White Glove as setup in the room of choice and packaging removal. This file records the opposite.

What Serta must answer

Say who was responsible for install and unpack, and whether this sale was excluded from that standard — in a written contract, not verbally.

01:02–01:10

Old mattress and cartons left

What the image shows

The old mattress and cardboard were left in the room.

The complaint question

The gap between the pre-sale promise and the delivery result is a service question, not a lifestyle detail.

What Serta must answer

Say who was responsible for haul-away, and keep the dispatch record from that day.

01:10–01:18

Blocked after payment

What the image shows

Exhibit 08 records the complainant's account that phone and WeChat contact were cut after payment.

The complaint question

A ~US$23,000 sale had no continuing after-sales window when delivery and quality had to be handled. The dealer is withheld so Serta must identify the channel from its own ledger.

What Serta must answer

Name a case owner and official case number, an official channel, and the invoice / receipt that matches the payment.

01:18–01:26

Label and QR

What the image shows

The information tag shows a QR code, composition and care lines.

The complaint question

These are internal identifiers. If Serta cannot match them to a dealer, channel, QC record and invoice, that failure is itself part of the complaint.

What Serta must answer

Decode each QR / barcode and match it to internal records.

01:26–01:34

Truck:99 · SEQ:422

What the image shows

The label shows Truck:99, SEQ:422, a serial-style line, and New Zealand Made / The Comfort Group.

The complaint question

Those logistics marks should identify a movement path. The “New Zealand import” pitch needs documents, not another slogan.

What Serta must answer

Produce the logistics and authorised-channel record. Say which shipment Truck:99 and SEQ:422 belong to.

01:34–01:42

Huizhou · 2026/04/02

What the image shows

Another label shows a Huizhou manufacturing place, specification 200*220~L2201, production date 2026/04/02, a QR and a barcode.

The complaint question

A New Zealand line and a Huizhou line sit on the same mattress. The still poses a mapping question. It does not treat either label as a final legal conclusion.

What Serta must answer

Explain how the New Zealand label and the Huizhou label belong to the same article, with production and import records.

01:42–01:50

W13118HM · Sari / San Sebastian

What the image shows

A visible date line reads 07/05/26 Thu, with Sari / San Sebastian Matt 220x200 - W13118HM.

The complaint question

The sale name was Serta Storini King Size. Serta has not mapped Storini, Sari/San Sebastian, AvantGarde and W13118HM in writing.

What Serta must answer

Publish the model map: is Storini a market name, a different SKU, or a name that was never on this foam.

01:50–02:02

Eight notices, still no named case owner

What the image shows

The last card records eight written notices, continued silence on a named case owner, and the original files used in this cut.

The complaint question

The file is enough to ask checkable questions. Internal damage, channel and liability still need an inspection and a written answer. Visual punch is not a finding of crime or a court result.

What Serta must answer

Refund; in-person inspection; model / origin / QR mapping; official-channel invoice; a named case owner; a written opinion on the strap-fold and the outdoor exposure.

Empty promises
EXHIBIT 07

Empty promises

Pre-sale written promises sit on the same chain as the later silence.

Boundary: the cut is punched so the visible finish, the violent fold and the broken after-sales chain cannot be covered by “premium mattress” marketing. It does not treat a visual effect, a satire still or a single photograph as proof of internal damage. The closing facts have to come from original records, an in-person inspection and a written reply.
