Serta Simmons Bedding (US headquarters): a documented complaint you can still search and still have not answered

This page is written for US brand, legal, compliance and customer-relations staff — and for anyone in the United States searching Serta complaint, Serta refund or Serta Simmons Bedding.

Serta sells itself in the United States as a service brand. Its own help pages describe White Glove Delivery as scheduled delivery, in-room setup, packaging removal and old-mattress haul-away. This Hong Kong sale was priced like a premium US product — about US$23,000 — and then handled in public view as the opposite. The primary evidence file is the English record. This page is the US-headquarters briefing.

Serta has still not named a case owner

As of 2026-09-12, this complaint remains unanswered in substance. That is 71 days after the first written notice (2026-07-03) and 58 days after the sixth notice (2026-07-16). The seventh notice (2026-07-18) asked Serta to substantiate the premium, origin, model and service claims used to sell this mattress. No named case owner, case number, inspection appointment, official-channel invoice or refund has been published here.

  • What is still missing

A named officer at Serta Simmons Bedding or Serta China; an in-person manufacturer inspection; the exact model mapping among Storini, Sari/San Sebastian, AvantGarde and W13118HM; decoded QR/barcode records; and proof that the ~US$23,000 payment went through an official authorised channel.

  • What this site now adds

A US-headquarters briefing, a China-market briefing, a dated timeline, a search-oriented FAQ, and a label/code index — so US and Chinese searchers, journalists and regulators can find the same primary record.

  • Daily public clock

The day-count on this page is refreshed every day until Serta answers. Repeating the same article is not the point. The point is a dated, checkable fact: the silence is still running.

Earlier notices, evidence-preservation requests, the apology demand and the refund demand remain expressly reserved. Unproven legal labels are still put as questions.

Why US headquarters is the addressee

The product was sold as an American brand. The money was real. The labels still carry Serta, AvantGarde, New Zealand Made / The Comfort Group and a Huizhou, China line on the same mattress. That is a global-brand problem, not a local-shop inconvenience.

Written notices went to support@serta.com, warranty@serta.com, SSBCommunications@sertasimmons.com and cancustomerservice@sertasimmons.com, among regional copies. Some other circulating addresses bounced. Silence from a working mailbox is not the same thing as a bounce. It is a decision not to answer.

Facts that do not depend on a legal conclusion

  • Sale

Serta Storini King Size, Hong Kong, purchased 20 March 2026, delivered 1 July 2026, about US$23,000 / HK$168,180.

  • Handling

Outdoor exposure about 24 hours; strap force-folding to nearly 90 degrees; a 70-year-old family member made to help lift; packaging and the old mattress left behind; paying customer blocked.

  • Identity split

Sale name Storini; badge AvantGarde; label Sari/San Sebastian Matt 220x200 - W13118HM; China spec 200*220~L2201 dated 2026/04/02, Huizhou; other label New Zealand Made / The Comfort Group.

  • Paper trail

Seven written notices from 3 July 2026. No named US case owner, inspection date or refund recorded on this site as of the date stamp above.

The White Glove question for US counsel

If White Glove language is a US-only paid extra, say so in writing, with the SKU and the contract that excluded it from this sale. If it is brand-level positioning, explain why a ~US$23,000 Serta mattress can be folded almost in half in the street and still be called premium.

Serta China's warranty terms themselves treat folding and improper moving as a damage risk. A US manufacturer that licenses or owns the mark cannot treat that risk as theoretical once photographs exist.

Advertising substantiation, not slogans

The seventh notice asked Serta to substantiate the claims that induced the purchase: exact model, country of origin, premium quality, authorised channel, professional installation, QC approval and match between advertised and delivered goods.

US readers should treat those as the same family of questions the Federal Trade Commission asks about truth-in-advertising. This page does not file a lawsuit by existing. It puts the primary documents where US staff and US search can find them.

What a US-headquarters reply must contain

Name a person, not a template. Give a case number. Produce the model map for Storini / Sari-San Sebastian / AvantGarde / W13118HM. Reconcile New Zealand and Huizhou markings with import and production records. Decode the QR/barcode evidence. Prove the payment hit an official channel and official invoice, or say it did not. Book an in-person inspection. Answer the folding and AvantGarde-finish questions in writing. Refund about US$23,000 or explain, with documents, why the photographs do not justify it.
